In a housekeeping move shortly before the start of the free agency window, the Red Wings have re-signed one of their restricted free agents.
Detroit has inked defenseman Alexey Marchenko to a two-year contract, as first reported by former Wolverines and Red Wings defenseman turned analyst Aaron Ward.

Per MLive’s Ansar Khan, the deal is worth $1.45 million per season.
