The Detroit Red Wings picked up a huge win over the league-best Boston Bruins, 3-1 in regulation at Little Caesars Arena Sunday afternoon. Belle Tire alum Brendan Perlini opened the scoring with his first goal as a Red Wing, while Andreas Athanasiou scored the other two for Detroit. Jonathan Bernier stopped 39 of 40 shots, allowing just one goal to Livonia native and Michigan State alum Torey Krug. Detroit became just the second team to record multiple regulation wins over the Bruins this season, and the win also marked the Wings’ fifth straight over Boston. (Photos by Stefan Kubus/MiHockey)
