Moritz Seider officially signs with Red Wings

Moritz Seider is officially a member of the Detroit Red Wings.

The sixth overall pick of the 2019 NHL Draft has signed his entry-level contract with the Original Six franchise, the Wings announced today.

Seider is the first German-born defenseman to be selected in the first round of the NHL Draft. A 6-foot-4, 207-pound blueliner, Seider’s skating and puck-moving abilities are exciting additions to the Red Wings’ prospect pool – as well as the fact that he shoots right-handed.
