The 2018-19 hockey season may have come to a close last week, but it’s never too early to start looking ahead to next season.
The Red Wings helped with that today, as the team announced Detroit’s preseason schedule.
Thanks to the addition of the Kraft Hockeyville USA game in Calumet, the Wings will be playing in nine preseason games this year, as opposed to their traditional eight games. They will all take place over the span of 11 days.
The St. Louis Blues (for Hockeyville) and the New York Islanders are two new teams on the docket for the tune-up games.
The home games:
Tuesday, Sept. 17 vs. the Chicago Blackhawks
Friday, Sept. 20 vs. New York Islanders
Sunday, Sept. 22 vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins
Friday, Sept. 27 vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs
