Sunday night marked a career night for Cam Fowler.
With a pair of goals heading into overtime against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Farmington Hills native completed the hat trick to lift his Anaheim Ducks to a 3-2 win.
Fowler, a HoneyBaked alum and product of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, became the seventh defenseman in NHL history to score a regular-season hat trick which included an overtime goal and the third to do so in Ducks history.
The goals were the first three of Fowler’s season to give him nine points on the season.
🗣: “I’m thrilled with my accomplishment, but it’s not about me. It’s about the team. We needed this win. It was difficult giving up that goal late, but luckily, we found a way to win and hopefully get this in the right direction.”
