This year’s Detroit Red Wings Development Camp may be one of the more exciting editions for fans in attendance.
And with good reason, too, given the talent pool.
On Monday, the organization announced its full roster for the annual camp, which begins Tuesday at the BELFOR Training Center inside Little Caesars Arena. Familiar faces like Michael Rasmussen (1st round, 2017) and Dennis Cholowski (1st round, 2016) will return along with newcomers from the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, like Filip Zadina, Joe Veleno and Bloomfield Hills native Alec Regula.
Along with Detroit’s 2018 NHL Draft class, there are some notable free-agent invites, including:
University of Michigan forward Luke Morgan, a Brighton native
Michigan State forward Taro Hirose
Western Michigan forward Colt Conrad
Honeybaked alum Ryan Savage
Grosse Pointe native Trevor Hamilton, who signed with the Griffins after the conclusion of his time with Penn State, will be in attendance as well.
Here’s a look at the full roster:
The past four camps have included 11 players who suited up for the Red Wings over the last two seasons, including Andreas Athanasiou, Tyler Bertuzzi, Jared Coreau, Joe Hicketts, Dylan Larkin, Anthony Mantha and Evgeny Svechnikov.
