Alex Nedeljkovic just accomplished a feat most goalies can only dream of doing.
Goalie. Goal.
Nedeljkovic, the former Plymouth Whalers netminder and longtime Michigan resident (his younger brother is listed as a Canton native), just scored an empty-netter for his AHL’s Charlotte Checkers to cap off a win in dramatic fashion.
Here’s the goal:

It should be noted that this quick story was posted from the press box of USA Hockey Arena – formerly Compuware Arena where Nedeljkovic tended to the Whalers’ crease from 2012-2015.
The Parma, Ohio native also played for the Metro Jets before his OHL career. He is a Carolina Hurricanes prospect – the NHL franchise selected him in the second round (37th overall) in the 2014 NHL Draft.
