It was Hockey Is For Everyone Night at Little Caesars Arena, and the Red Wings made sure it was a fun experience for everyone involved. Following a ceremonial puck drop from Brett Karapuz, a player with the special-needs Motor City Stars team, the Wings beat the Hurricanes 3-1. It was a milestone game for captain Henrik Zetterberg, too – Hockeytown’s captain scored his 335th goal as a Red Wing, matching Ted Lindsay for No. 5 all-time for the Original Six franchise. Oh yeah, and Dylan Larkin made some fan’s day by signing her jersey after the game… well-deserved after she was carrying a sign around that said she came 2,562 miles on a mission for some ink from the Waterford native.
