It took a little longer than he probably would have hoped, but Luke Witkowski crossed a major hockey milestone off his list last night.
The Holland, Mich., native scored his first NHL goal in the Wings’ 3-1 win over the Nashville Predators.
“I kind of blacked out a little bit,” Witkowski said via NHL.com. “I got the puck on my backhand and shot it and got it past his blocker. That was cool though, a good building to do it in too.”
