PHOTOS: Michigan makes first-ever trip to Plymouth for annual battle with the NTDP

On Saturday, the Michigan Wolverines made their first-ever trip to Plymouth to play the visiting-team role in their annual battle with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program. Playing the traditional “crosstown rivalry” game away from Yost Ice Arena didn’t bother UM, as the Wolverines posted a 7-3 victory over the national program that has produced 47 Michigan players during its 20-plus years of operation. Michigan now holds a 16-2 record in the series that used to be the ‘battle of Ann Arbor’ before the NTDP’s move to nearby Plymouth. (Photos by Michael Caples/MiHockey)
