Yesterday, Kid Rock’s concert at Little Caesars Arena served as ‘Opening Night’ for the new building. At the same time, it was a practice day for the 12U Little Caesars girls’ team at the Belfor Training Center, located within LCA. After parking in the Henry West Parking Garage – the designated parking garage for all youth hockey events at Belfor – the girls marched through the growing party outside the new stadium to get to the private entrance for the practice rink, and, having to go through a security check aside, it was business as usual for the LC squad at their new home rink.
It was an impressive demonstration of how things will run at LCA – games, concerts or other events taking place at the main rink and youth hockey on the other.
