While Anaheim Ducks forward and Livonia native Ryan Kesler was supposed to be the one in the spotlight during the NHL All-Star Weekend, he had some help at his side.
During the Four-Line Challenge and Discover NHL Shootout events, Kesler leaned on his 6-year-old son, Ryker, to get the job done for the Pacific Division.
Though the younger Kesler missed in the Four-Line Challenge event, his breakaway attempt in the shootout made for one of the most memorable moments from the weekend.
Kesler and Ducks teammate Cam Fowler (Farmington Hills) represented Michigan in Los Angeles this past weekend, while Frans Nielsen represented the Detroit Red Wings.
