The Red Wings have partnered with the U.S. Marine Corps once again for the annual Toys for Tots collection drive.
If you’re attending the Red Wings’ game against Zach Werenski and the Columbus Blue Jackets this Friday (Dec. 9), you’ll have a chance to help needy children throughout the Metro-Detroit area.
Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will be on-hand at each entrance of Joe Louis Arena to collect toys. Fans are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys (no stuffed animals) to the game for donation. Toys should cost no more than $30 to ensure all children receive comparable items.
Monetary donations will also be accepted and will fund additional toy purchases.
Last season’s drive brought in more than 500 toys and $5,300.
