UPDATE: The Red Wings formally announced both the promotional giveaways list and the ‘theme nights’ for the “Farewell Season at The Joe” campaign via press release today. Here are the theme nights:
Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night – Oct. 29 vs. Boston
Military Appreciation Night – Nov. 15 vs. Tampa Bay
Food Collection Night – Nov. 20 vs. Calgary
Toys for Tots Collection Drive – Dec. 9 vs. Columbus
Smoke Detector Collection Drive, presented by Comerica – Jan. 14 vs. Pittsburgh
NHL Green Week Celebration and Hockey Equipment Collection Drive – March 18 vs. Colorado
ORIGINAL POST: The 2016-17 season will be the Red Wings’ final campaign at Joe Louis Arena, and the team is going out with a bang – at least in the promotions and giveaways department.
