The Red Wings announced today that highly-touted prospect Dylan Larkin will be in the line-up when the Original Six club begins the 2015-16 NHL season Friday night.
Larkin, a Waterford native, was the Wings’ first-round pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, and Jeff Blashill announced to the media this morning that he will not be sent down to Grand Rapids for the start of the season.

Per the Wings’ Bill Roose, Larkin skated on a line with Henrik Zetterberg and Muskegon native Justin Abdelkader today.
Larkin played in five preseason games with the Wings, recording three goals and one assist in the timeframe.
