The Red Wings were in need of a big play to snap their losing streak.
Petr Mrazek delivered.
The Red Wings’ goaltender helped his team cap off a comeback victory over Vancouver Canucks last night out west when he sent a pass from his own end all the way to Gustav Nyquist, who was wide open near the Canucks’ blue line. Mrazek’s quick decision set up Nyquist for a short breakaway and the game-winning goal in overtime, ending the Red Wings’ losing streak at four games.
Detroit now returns home after their west coast trip for a game against the Hurricanes on Tuesday night.
