Good morning, everyone.
Quick hits
The members of the NHL enjoyed their last day of the All-Star break yesterday, which meant that the next wave of talent had an opportunity to show their skills to the hockey world. The AHL hosted their own All-Star Game in Atlantic City, and some Michigan connections helped the Western Conference rally to a 8-7 shootout win. Former Plymouth Whalers star Chris Terry recorded two goals and an assist for the West, while Howell native T.J. Hensick had a goal and an assist to make him our Michi-gamer of the night. Former Whalers goaltender Matt Hackett made seven saves, and Grand Rapids Griffins forward Gustav Nyquist posted an assist for the West, as well. Meanwhile, Grosse Pointe Woods native Andy Miele scored a goal and an assist for the East.
