Jack Clement had himself a big weekend for the Miami RedHawks, and now he has been honored by his conference.
The NCHC announced its weekly players list today, and the Bloomfield Hills native is the rookie of the week.
Clement, a Brother Rice alum, scored his first two NCAA goals while playing on the top defensive pair against Colgate all weekend.
He tied Friday’s game 1-1 with a goal in the first period, recording a +2 in a 3-3 tie. The next night, he helped Miami to a 2-0 win by scoring the game’s first goal and registering a +1 rating.
On the weekend, he was a +3 with five shots on goal and two blocked shots, while playing on a penalty-kill unit that stopped all seven Colgate opportunities.
Clement now has five points on the season.
