In the first of two meetings between the two, Canada prevailed over Team USA Tuesday afternoon at the World Junior Summer Showcase in Plymouth. Red Wings prospect Joe Veleno played a substantial role in the 4-1 victory for Team Canada, racking up a goal and an assist while playing on his team’s top line with expected 2020 No. 1 pick Alexis Lafreniere. The U.S. and Canada will now play games against Finland and Sweden before playing in the final game of the 2020 WJSS on Saturday at 4 p.m. (Photos by Andrew Knapik/MiHockey)
