PHOTOS: Canada tops Team USA in Round 1 of WJSS border battle

 

In the first of two meetings between the two, Canada prevailed over Team USA Tuesday afternoon at the World Junior Summer Showcase in Plymouth. Red Wings prospect Joe Veleno played a substantial role in the 4-1 victory for Team Canada, racking up a goal and an assist while playing on his team’s top line with expected 2020 No. 1 pick Alexis Lafreniere.
