Brenden Rons is coming home to Michigan to suit up for the Bulldogs.
The Farmington Hills native has announced his new commitment to Ferris State.
“It’s always been a dream of mine to play Division 1 college hockey,” Rons told MiHockey. “I’ve watched Ferris State play in the Great Lakes Invitational growing up and have always had great respect for the program.
“It’s a tremendous honor to commit there.”
After playing his 16U and 18U seasons with the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies, Rons split the 2016-17 campaign between the Omaha Lancers of the USHL and the Topeka RoadRunners of the NAHL.
The last two seasons, it’s been full-time duty in Topeka, and Rons has impressed, as he wore the ‘C’ for the newly-named Pilots this season while chipping in 20 points from the blue line.
Rons was previously committed to Michigan Tech.
