Mitch Eliot is officially a member of the Vancouver Canucks.
The Grosse Pointe native signed an entry-level contract with the NHL franchise, general manager Jim Benning announced today.
The 20-year-old defenseman is in the midst of his second season with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting; Eliot has 28 points in 32 games.
A Honeybaked product, Eliot played two seasons for the Muskegon Lumberjacks before skating for two seasons with the Michigan State Spartans.
