A Spartan received some conference honors on Election Day.
Patrick Khodorenko, after turning in a conference-best four points in two games, was named the Big Ten’s first star of the week today.
The junior forward – a USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and Honeybaked alum – recorded the first hat trick of his collegiate career in MSU’s Friday night win over Ferris State.
It was the first hat trick by a Spartan since March of 2015; it also marks Khodorenko’s first Big Ten weekly award.
