USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program has released details for two big nights in Plymouth.
On Jan. 26, Team USA will host its annual Star Wars Night, where for the sixth time, the team will don Star Wars-inspired jerseys to auction off for C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
The Under-17 Team will take on the Central Illinois Flying Aces that night, as Team USA continues its tradition of raising money for the nearby hospital. The NTDP has raised more than $25,000 since the start of Star Wars Night.
Fans in attendance will also be treated to a variety of Star Wars themed events and meet-and-greets with their favorite characters.
The jerseys will be unveiled closer to the actual event.
The NTDP will also host Auston Matthews Bobblehead Night on March 30, 2019.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance for that game – an Under-18 Team battle with the Youngstown Phantoms – will receive a bobblehead honoring the NTDP alum, who skated for Team USA from 2013-15 before becoming the No. 1 overall draft pick in 2016.
