Another game, another overtime win for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.
The NTDP won their second-straight game in overtime on the road against the Chicago Steel Friday night, and in the process, they advance to the next round of the USHL Clark Cup playoffs.
It’s another milestone for the Plymouth-based program, which won its first-ever USHL playoff game earlier in the series.
Alex Vlasic scored the series-clinching goal for the NTDP – a shorthanded goal 3:48 into the extra period.

Thursday night, it was Danny Weight scoring the decisive goal for the Under-17 Team (more on that game here).
The Chicago Steel were the defending Clark Cup champions, fresh off a series victory over the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
The Eastern Conference Final match-up is now set; the NTDP will take on the Youngstown Phantoms.
