In the preliminary round, the U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team beat Slovakia 2-1.
In the qualification round, they increased the spread.
With a spot in the quarterfinals on the line, Team USA recorded a 5-1 win over Slovakia.
The U.S. will now play the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals – that game is slated to take place Wednesday at 12:10 p.m. Korean time…that means tomorrow night at 10:10 p.m. Eastern time.
Canton native James Wisniewski registered the first goal from a Michigan native in the tournament, firing a one-timer on a five-on-three power play that gave Team USA a 2-0 lead.

Ryan Donato scored twice, while Mark Arcobello and Garrett Roe also lit the lamp for Team USA.
Ryan Zapolski recorded the win between the pipes.
