Robbie Beydoun entered the Michigan Tech crease in relief on Dec. 8 against Ferris State, and he has maintained control of the position ever since – playing so well that he was just named WCHA Goaltender of the Month for December.
The rookie netminder led the WCHA with a .944 save percentage over the month, and he ranks second in the conference with a 1.44 goals-against average.
The Plymouth native is second among all NCAA freshmen in both save percentage and goals-against average, as well.
Klimek top defensive player
Meanwhile, Northern Michigan defenseman Jordan Klimek was named the conference’s defensive player of the month.
A senior fro Langley, B.C., Klimek led WCHA blueliners with eight points in December. His six assists tied for the most among all NCAA defensemen.
