Sean Day is now officially a member of the New York Rangers organization.
The Rochester native, a third-round pick of the Blueshirts in last summer’s NHL Draft, signed an entry-level contract with the Original Six franchise today.

Day, who was born in Belgium before his family moved stateside, has skated in the OHL for the last four seasons, after he was just the fourth player ever to be granted exceptional status by Hockey Canada to play at age 15.
He selected No. 81 overall by the Rangers last spring.
