The Michigan hockey community is rallying together to help one of its own.
The Lansing Hockey Club and Lansing Spartans Midget A team are hosting a hockey game in support of Adam Dec and his family on Friday, Feb. 3 at Suburban Ice East Lansing.
Dec, a member of said Midget A team, was recently diagnosed with and is being treated for B-cell A.L.L. Leukemia.
Puck drop for the game is set for 5 p.m.
Donations will be taken as admittance to the game, and there will also be a bake sale during the evening. All of the proceeds will go toward Brandon’s Defense, a charity built to help the fight against childhood cancer.
Brandon’s Defense was created in the memory of Brandon Gordon, a Dewitt-St. John’s High School goaltender who passed away of cancer in 2009 at age 16.
Attendants are being asked to wear orange in support of Adam’s Army.
