Former Stanley Cup-winning head coach and GM of the Detroit Red Wings Jimmy Skinner laid forth 17 rules for hockey players to follow in a list titled “A Hockey Player’s Bible.”
Reddit user /u/ClumsyOne received the guide on a laminated card for his 12th birthday as a gift from his father. The card even featured a personalized note on the back from Skinner.
The note reads,
“Nicolas,
from Jim Skinner
Tips to remember when you are on the ice:
Be aggressive
Skate hard
Put out at all times
Be fair.”
