The Boston College Women’s Hockey program announced today that Farmington Hills native Andie Anastos will be their lone captain for the 2016-17 season, making her only the sixth player in program history to be a captain for consecutive seasons.

Anastos was one of three captains last season. For 2016-17, she will wear the lone ‘C’ while Kristyn Capizzano and fellow Farmington native Megan Keller will serve as assistant captains.

“Andie was a great leader for us as a junior and I’m excited to have her use that experience to be our captain this year,” head coach Katie Crowley said. “She knows how to lead a team and what is important to keep our team going in a positive direction.”

The BC Women played to a 40-1-0 record last season. Anastos enters her senior season ranking 12th on the Eagles’ career scoring list with 102 points in 117 games.
