USA Hockey announced today the 22 players selected for the 2015 U.S. Women’s Under-22 Select Team, and two Michigan natives made the list.
Megan Keller (Farmington) and Lexie Shaw (Troy) will represent Michigan on the squad for the three-game series against Canada later this month.
Keller, a defenseman with Boston College, has played for the U.S. Women’s National Team in the IIHF Women’s World Championship in 2015 and the Four Nations Cup in 2014.
Shaw, a goaltender at the University of North Dakota, played for the U.S. Women’s Under-18 Select Team in 2012, and the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team in 2013.
The two played together for the Honeybaked AAA youth program.
The U.S. Women’s Under-18 Select Team was announced today, as well, with no Michigan representatives on the roster.
