USA Hockey has announced their first set of commitments to the U.S. NTDP program for the upcoming season, and three Michigan connections appear on the list.
Rochester native Max Jones, along with Honeybaked Midget Minor forwards Nick Pastjuov and Patrick Khodorenko, will be among the first few players added to next year’s NTDP Under-17 Team.
Jones, who played above his age group with the Honeybaked Midget Major program this year, recorded nine goals and 13 assists in 25 games, ranking fourth on his team in points.
Khodorenko, a native of Walnut Creek, Calif., recorded nine goals and a league-high 21 assists in 21 games with the Honeybaked Midget Minor team this year. His teammate Pastujov, a Bradenton, Fla., native, had 19 points in 15 games.
Khodorenko and Pastujov are part of the Honeybaked team that captured the Midget Minor state title in March, and they are currently competing for a USA Hockey National Championship in Green Bay, Wisc.
The NTDP also announced commitments from two University of Michigan commits – Griffin Luce (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Luke Martin (St. Louis, Mo.).
