Michigan high school hockey state quarterfinal scores (Tuesday’s games)

While the majority of the state quarterfinals take place today, last night four teams punched their tickets to Compuware Arena. Here is a look at the Division 2 quarterfinals, and how the teams fared. To see all the games that place tonight, click here.

 

Quarterfinal 5

Reeths-Puffer 5, Saginaw Heritage 3 – Kyle Kendra recorded four goals and one assist to power his Reeths Puffer team to the state semifinals.

Hartland 3, Berkley 2 – After falling behind 2-1 with 2:04 remaining in regulation, it looked like it was over for Hartland. However, a rebound goal from Austin Flores evened the score 44 seconds later. Then, a lucky break for Chris McRae gave him a breakaway, and he scored the game-winning goal with 10 seconds left in the third period.

 

Quarterfinal 7

De La Salle 3, Port Huron Northern 2 – Despite being out-shot 42-13, De La Salle found a way to advance to the state semis, thanks to goals from Matthew Burns, Andrew Francis and Steve McPhee.

 

Quarterfinal 8

Trenton 6, Ann Arbor Pioneer 2 – The march to a state title continues for the storied Trenton hockey program. Justin Dunn, Mitchell Galea (2), Nick Bondy, Solomon Markus and Quinn Preston all scored for the Trojans in the win.

 

Thursday’s state semifinal matchups at Compuware:

Hartland vs. Reeths-Puffer – 5 p.m.

Trenton vs. De La Salle – 7:30 p.m.
