For Liggett, it was a 4-3 overtime win over Cranbrook that sealed the deal for the Division 1 title. The Knights had a double-overtime showdown with Ladywood in the quarterfinals (winning 4-3) and a 2-1 win over Ann Arbor Pioneer in the semifinals – making the final contest their third straight one-goal game in the playoffs.

The Knights were led on the scoresheet by Ania Dow (32 points) and Allison Stapleton (29 points) this season, while Haley Malewicz and Olivia Portillo split time between the pipes.

In the scoring department, the Penguins were led by Morgan Cusumano (16 points), Jenna Carter (14 points) and Loren Hitch (11 points). Gwen Gadulhka logged the majority of the time in the crease for the Penguins.
