The National Team Development Program Under-17 and Under-18 teams both competed in Five Nations tournaments this weekend on foreign soil, and both are returning to Ann Arbor with some new hardware.

The two NTDP clubs both won their respective tournaments over the weekend, with the Under-17 Team claiming first place in Sundsvall, Sweden and the Under-18 Team taking the top spot in Dmitrov, Russia.

It was the seventh time the NTDP has won the Under-18 Five Nations Tournament, but only the first time they have won the Under-17 Five Nations.

The U17s closed out their international schedule with a perfect 15-0 record after the conclusion of the Five Nations Tournament. Four Michigan natives play for the NTDP U17s in international competition – Nick Boka (Plymouth), Zach Werenski (Grosse Pointe), Brendan Warren (Carleton) and Dennis Yan (Troy).

Meanwhile, the U18s rack up another title as they prepare for the Under-18 World Championship in Finland this April. Two Michigan natives – Dylan Larkin (Waterford) and Dylan Pavelek (Marysville) – compete for the NTDP U18s.
