The Shamrocks will be playing under a new head coach next season.
Detroit Catholic Central assistant coach Doug Itami will take over as head coach for the Shamrocks this season, replacing Todd Johnson, a source close to the program has told MiHockey.
Johnson will remain with the Shamrocks’ program, with Itami taking over head-coaching duties.
Johnson led the Shamrocks to Division 1 state championships as head coach in 2005, 2009 and 2010 and as co-head coach with Gordon St. John in 2002 and 2003.

Thanks Coach Johnson for your hard word and dedication to the CC program as a Head Coach. You have not only helped our program but have helped all of Michigan High School Hockey. I am glad you are staying on board as a valuble Assistant Coach to the program. Doug Itami will have big shoes to fill but is very capable. “We are CC”
