The 56th annual Great Lakes Invitational is moving to campus sites and will not crown a champion.

It was announced Friday that the annual event, making a return after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to COVID-19, will be played on Dec. 29-30 in Ann Arbor and East Lansing in a showcase-style format.

On Dec. 29, Michigan Tech will face off with the University of Michigan at Yost Ice Arena, while the Western Michigan Broncos will head to East Lansing to face Michigan State. On Dec. 30, Western Michigan will then head to Yost to play the Wolverines, while the Huskies will square off with the Spartans.
