The Red Wings announced another roster move today.
A few hours after claiming Jacob de la Rose off waivers, Detroit assigned defenseman Libor Sulak to Grand Rapids.
Sulak, 24, was one of the surprises in the Wings’ starting line-up for Opening Night after impressing in the preseason. He appeared in all six of the Wings’ games thus far this season.
Trevor Daley is expected back in the line-up, necessitating a roster move on the blue line.
A 6-foot-2, 207-pound defenseman, Sulak was averaging 19:23 worth of ice time in the six games.
He was originally signed as a free agent by the Wings in 2017.
