Recruiting: Seamus Casey commits to Michigan

The Wolverines have added another 2004 birth-year player to the team’s commitment list.

Compuware 14U forward Seamus Casey has announced his verbal to the University of Michigan.

“The main reason I committed to Michigan is because of the amazing services they have to offer, both for sports and academics…along with the fact that I’ve always been a fan of Michigan,” Casey told MiHockey.

The native of Estero, Fla., has been playing in the state for three seasons; he officially moved to the Mitten State this year. As of Oct. 28, he is second in the HPHL in scoring with eight points in five games.

“Another reason [for committing] would be the support network I have in Michigan, with great people who have helped me throughout my career. It’s nice to stay in this environment for my college career.”

He joins Hunter Brzustewicz (Honeybaked 14U defenseman) as Michigan pledges in the 2004 birth-year class.
