The seventh annual USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game will be taking place in Wild country.
In a release from USAH today, it was announced that the AAPG will be hosted by the Minnesota Wild on Sept. 19, 2018 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
The AAPG annually serves as a kick-off event for the nation’s elite draft-eligible hockey players. USA Hockey brings together who they estimate to be the top 40 (roughly) players from across all junior and college programs for on-ice and off-ice exposure with NHL teams.
Previous editions of the All-American Prospects Game have featured the likes of Dylan Larkin, Zach Werenski, Kyle Connor and Alex DeBrincat.
“We look forward to bringing this event to Minnesota,” said Pat Kelleher, executive director for USA Hockey. “The game is a terrific showcase of American hockey and fans will get an early look at players they will soon see in the NHL. This year’s game is also likely to include Jack Hughes, who most scouts today project as the top pick in the 2019 NHL Draft.”
For last year’s AAPG, MiHockey cameras followed the players through the entire experience. Check out that video below.
