The lone Michigan-born and bred NTDP Under-17 Team player has received some recognition from his junior league today.
The USHL has announced that Ryder Rolston is the league’s forward of the week.
Rightfully so, of course; Rolston, a Birmingham native, recorded five goals and three assists in two NTDP Under-17 Team road games this past weekend.
The Notre Dame commit scored two goals and set up two more in Team USA’s 9-3 victory over Central Illinois on Friday, and then recorded a hat trick and another assist Sunday in a 9-6 loss to Chicago on Sunday.
The Friday night win helped the NTDP secure home ice through the Eastern Conference Final of the upcoming USHL playoffs.
Rolston, a Little Caesars alum, has 28 points on the season – tied for ninth among all NTDP players and fourth among the Under-17 Team.
