Though Kyle Connor isn’t with the Winnipeg Jets, he’s certainly making himself known with the organization’s AHL affiliate.
The Shelby Township native was named the CCM/AHL Player of the Week on Monday after recording eight points in four games with his Manitoba Moose.
Connor opened the week on Tuesday with a goal and two assists in Manitoba’s 5-3 win in Rockford before following that up with a two-goal performance in another 5-3 win over the IceHogs on Friday. The University of Michigan alum scored both Manitoba goals in Saturday’s 3-2 overtime loss to the Milwaukee Admirals to mark his fifth-consecutive multi-point game. Connor scored once more on Sunday in a 5-4 loss to the Chicago Wolves.
Connor has now posted 10 goals and 13 points in his last six games.
Connor, a former 17th overall pick in 2015, has 18 goals and 13 assists for 31 points in 38 contests with the Moose this year. He started the season in Winnipeg after a stellar preseason and notched four points in 19 games.
