The Detroit Red Wings posted on Twitter today the jersey altercation made for their late owner.
The team will be wearing ‘Mr. I’ patches on the sleeves of their jersey in honor of owner Mike Ilitch, per the photo.
Update: The Red Wings also have painted a ‘Mr. I’ onto the ice at Joe Louis Arena prior to tonight’s game against St. Louis.
Ilitch passed away on Friday at age 87.
