Two Michigan natives have cracked this week’s USHL players of the week list.

Omaha Lancers forward Austin Alger, a Livonia native, was named the league’s offensive player of the week, while NTDP goaltender Dylan St. Cyr of Northville was named the USHL’s goaltender of the week.

Alger, a Miami commit and Cranbook Kingswood alum, posted two goals and two assists in four games for the Lancer this week. He has 17 points in 20 games this season – good for second on his Omaha squad.

St. Cyr, a Michigan commit and Honeybaked product, posted two wins in two starts for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Under-18 Team this past week. He posted a 15-save shutout against Cedar Rapids on Thursday, before stopping 28 of 29 shots in a victory over the Bloomington Thunder on Saturday. He now has a 5-1-1-0 USHL record this season, along with a 2.14 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.
