After a 3-2 overtime loss Friday night, the Wolverines responded by beating in-state rival Michigan State in East Lansing 4-1 on Saturday. Justin Selman scored twice for the Wolverines, while JT Compher and Tyler Motte also found the back of the net. Villiam Haag scored the lone goal for the Spartans, while Jake Hildebrand stopped 38 saves in goal for MSU. Steve Racine picked up the victory for Michigan, stopping 33 of the 34 shots he faced in the contest. Stay tuned for more coverage from MiHockey on the second game of the weekend rivalry series.
