The Red Wings just announced that Comerica Bank is the team’s third ‘Landmark Partner’ for the new arena in Detroit, and details revealed within the announcement will certainly catch fans’ eyes.

Comerica Bank will sponsor the ‘Players Club’ – a 250-person premium area that will be on the event level (ice level) between the Red Wings’ locker room and the arena’s ice surface.

For Red Wings games, spectators in the Players Club area will have an up-close view of both the home team and the opponent as they make their way out to the ice and back to their respective locker rooms.

The press release says that the Wings “will literally walk through the center of the Players Club – the first experience of its kind on the market.”

“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Comerica Bank as a long-term partner,” said Tom Wilson, president and CEO of Olympia Entertainment, in a release. “Comerica is a perfect example of a Detroit success story. Their commitment demonstrates a belief in the city and The District Detroit. We’re particularly excited about their focus on the Players Club, the most anticipated premium space in the building. This area will be bringing truly unique experiences to fans and visitors, not just for hockey games, but for concerts and other events as well. We are very proud to have such a well-respected company associated with The Detroit Events Center.”
