Jakub Kindl’s time with the Detroit Red Wings may be coming to a close.

Per TSN’s Bob McKenzie and others, Kindl has been placed on waivers by the Wings, as the team prepares to welcome Kyle Quincey back to the line-up.

Kindl can now be claimed by other NHL clubs. If he is not claimed by noon tomorrow, he will be sent to Grand Rapids.

The 28-year-old defenseman has played in 23 games this season, recording two goals and three assists.

A first-round pick of the Wings in 2005, Kindl has played in 271 NHL games in his career, totaling 16 goals and 51 assists for 67 points.
