Vili Saarjarvi’s face is about to travel all around his native Finland.

The Flint Firebirds defenseman and Red Wings draft pick appears on a new commemorative stamp in Finland to celebrate the country’s victory at the 2016 World Juniors tournament.

Saarijarvi (top right) appears with Finnish teammates Kasperi Kapanen and Miro Keskitalo in a photo capturing the celebration from Kapanen’s golden goal.

“We wanted the stamp to highlight the positive energy the junior ice hockey team served to the people throughout the tournament, both at the rink and in the interviews that radiated joy and confidence,” said Tommi Kantola, Design Manager at Posti, via the World Juniors’ official website.

My photo was used for Finnish stamps. All that I can say is – wow! Can be a little proud of myself! Финны внезапно решили использовать именно мою фотографию для выпуска особой серии почтовых марок, посвящённой победе их сборной на МЧМ. Горда собой! Спасибо @croulmane за наводку! #photographer #hockey #WJC2016
