The USHL has announced its stars of the week, and a trio of Michigan connections swept the awards – two of which are Muskegon Lumberjacks.

F – Rem Pitlick – Muskegon Lumberjacks

The USHL and Muskegon leading scorer posted an impressive four goals and five assists for nine points in the Lumberjacks’ two games Wednesday and Saturday. First, Pitlick scored two goals and two assists in a 6-5 loss to the Youngstown Phantoms. He topped himself the next game, posting another two goals and three assists this time to lead the Jacks to a 9-5 win over USA Hockey’s NTDP U17s. A native of Minnesota, Pitlick has 14 goals and 28 points in 19 games, leading not just his team but the entire USHL.

D – Trevor Hamilton – Muskegon Lumberjacks – Grosse Pointe Farms

Though positioned on the back end, Hamilton has been producing like a forward for the Lumberjacks this season and a big week helped that effort. In Wednesday’s loss to Youngstown, Hamilton chipped in with three helpers before adding a goal and two more helpers Saturday against the NTDP U17s. The Grosse Pointe Farms native and Honeybaked alum has 16 points in 18 games on the season, good for fourth among all USHL defensemen.

G – Hayden Lavigne – Bloomington Thunder – U of M commit

Lavigne posted a shutout in his only game this past week, keeping the Green Bay Gamblers at bay, stopping all 22 shots he faced on Sunday. Despite only receiving one goal in support, it was all that Lavigne needed to see his Bloomington Thunder pick up the win.
