Dan Cleary is staying in Detroit.
The Red Wings announced today that they have re-signed the Newfoundland native to a one-year contract.
Cleary, 36, skated in 17 games with the Wings last year after signing a one-year deal to stay in Hockeytown, recording two points and six penalty minutes in the process.
Per Chuck Pleiness of the Macomb Daily, the deal is a one-way contract worth $950,000, and Cleary will have to earn a spot on the roster at training camp.
